Gamescom 2025 continues to deliver powerful announcements for horror fans. IllFonic and Gun Interactive have officially unveiled Halloween, a new title inspired by the iconic film franchise, coming to Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game will combine experiences, offering single-player and multiplayer modes, allowing players to live the story solo or join cooperative and competitive matches.
The proposal will put players in the shoes of different survivors… or directly in the shoes of the iconic Boogeyman, Michael Myers, who will be playable in online modes. IllFonic already has experience with this type of asymmetric gameplay thanks to games like Friday the 13th: The Game or Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, which anticipates a design focused on tension and replayability.
Terror in single-player and multiplayer in Halloween
Although all details have not been revealed, Halloween will feature a single-player mode with a story, allowing players to explore the myth of Michael Myers from new perspectives, and an asymmetric multiplayer mode where players must survive, collaborate, or hunt in atmospheric scenarios.
The announcement comes amidst the celebration at the German fair, and marks another step in Gun Interactive‘s strategy to bring classic horror franchises to the world of video games. With Halloween, both fans of the films and lovers of survival multiplayer experiences will have a new must-see appointment on Xbox Series.
