Set in a universe inspired by the sail navigation era, Abandon Ship puts you in command of a ship and its crew, with the mission to explore an open world full of dangers, rival factions, and random events that respond to your decisions.

Exploration, naval combat, and permanent decisions

In Abandon Ship, combat is tactical and dynamic, pitting your crew against enemy ships, coastal fortifications, and even sea monsters. Weather conditions, such as storms, tsunamis, or volcanic eruptions, directly affect the development of battles, forcing you to adapt your strategy.

The world is divided into thematic biomes, ranging from the Haunted Seas infested with ghost ships to islands overrun by giant spiders or regions with toxic gases. The decisions you make can radically change the environment, create allies, or generate enemies who will seek revenge later.

Death in Abandon Ship is permanent for crew members, although there’s always a chance to survive if the captain escapes, either in a lifeboat or by swimming alone.
