FromSoftware has released a new patch for Elden Ring: Nightreign, available on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam). The update 1.02.1 introduces balance adjustments, performance improvements to key skills, and a lengthy list of bug fixes that affect both gameplay and game stability.
Among the most notable changes is the optimization of the Storm Ruler skill, which now boasts increased attack power, faster charging, speedier projectiles, and improved damage even without activating the storm effect. This translates to a more fluid and effective combat experience for those using this technique.
Balance Adjustments and Bug Fixes
The patch also resolves several issues detected in boss battles, item usage, and defensive mechanics. Fixes have been made for glitches that prevented guard effects from activating, errors in passive skills, and situations where the game could lose performance or stability in online mode.
-
Improved Storm Ruler: faster charging, speedier projectiles, and increased damage even without the storm effect.
-
Fixes for Everdark Sovereigns boss battles: issues with attacks not landing correctly and performance problems during battles have been resolved.
-
Adjustments to passive skills and relics: fixes have been made for glitches that prevented healing effects from activating or increased damage more than intended.
-
Interface and menu improvements: incorrect display of relics and spell upgrade values has been corrected.
-
Online stability: optimized continuous use of spells and invocations to prevent performance drops and connection issues.
Other changes include the repair of visual and interface glitches in the relic menu, adjustments to the displayed values of certain spell upgrades, and revisions to the Brazilian Portuguese translation. Additionally, FromSoftware has confirmed that they are working on a bug related to healing distributed by Flasks to allies with the “Gradual Restoration” passive, which will be fixed in a future patch.
