Coinciding with its release on PlayStation 5, Hellblade II has received the Enhanced update on Xbox Series, PC, and Steam, available at no extra cost to all players. This revised version brings visual improvements, additional gameplay options, and new content, with the goal of taking the experience to the next level for those who want to revisit Senua’s story or discover it for the first time.
Among the most notable new features is the Performance Mode, which increases the frame rate to 60 FPS, compared to the original 30 FPS, offering much smoother gameplay. On PC, an “Ultra High” setting is also included, which maximizes visual fidelity based on the hardware.
All the Improvements of Hellblade II Enhanced
This update also incorporates the Dark Rot Mode, an optional challenge where corruption advances with each defeat. If it reaches Senua’s head, the game ends and all progress is lost, adding an extra layer of tension.
The Improved Photo Mode adds extended tools and a “Motion” tab to create customized cinematic video captures. Additionally, it includes over four hours of developer commentary, where the Ninja Theory team, cast, and collaborators explain in-depth the creative decisions and technical work behind the game.
Hellblade II Enhanced is now available on Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers can enjoy all these improvements at no extra cost from today.
