With the conclusion of EVO, NetherRealm Studios has shared some exciting news about Mortal Kombat 1. Ed Boon, co-creator of the series, has announced that the game has surpassed 6.2 million units sold, which represents a significant increase compared to the over five million sales achieved at the beginning of this year.
Additionally, a new balance patch is now available, which adjusts numerous characters, including Havik, Kenshi, Li Mei, Liu Kang, Rain, Reptile, Shang Tsung, as well as DLC fighters like Omni-Man, Ermac, Conan the Barbarian, and Homelander. The Kameo Fighters, such as Frost, Darrius, Jax, Goro, Stryker, Sektor, Sub-Zero, Mavado, Tremor, and others, have also seen adjustments in this patch.

Ed Boon has ensured that the team is committed to making Mortal Kombat 1 “our most balanced game”, which suggests that more balance changes and revisions may be on the way.
