Steam is once again opening its doors to a weekend packed with free games, and this time we’re faced with three titles that cover very different genres: from large-scale strategy to cooperative action, to one of the most veteran and beloved MMORPGs of today. All of them will be available temporarily and at no cost to any PC player, allowing you to discover them without spending a single euro.
The promotions are already active and will last throughout the weekend, so if any of them catch your attention, you’ll just need to add it to your library and download it to start playing. Remember that with Prime Gaming, you have more free games from today, you can review the complete list through the following link.
Free games on Steam during the weekend
-
Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation – Real-time strategy on a large scale, with dynamic battles where you’ll control entire armies to conquer several worlds. Includes single-player campaigns and multiplayer combat.
-
Lynked: Banner of the Spark – Colorful action RPG where you fight against hordes of enemies, alone or in co-op, to collect pieces and build a prosperous village.
-
The Elder Scrolls Online – MMORPG set in Tamriel, almost a thousand years before Skyrim. Offers free exploration, cooperative missions, PvP combat, and a continuously expanding world.
How do free weekends work on Steam?
Steam’s free weekend promotions allow you to download and play certain games in their entirety for a limited time, usually from Thursday or Friday to Monday. It’s not about cut-down demos: in most cases, the titles are available with all their content, just like if you had bought them.
When the promotion ends, the game disappears from your library if you don’t buy it, but all the progress you’ve made is saved, so you can continue from the same point if you decide to purchase it later. Additionally, it’s common for games to be discounted during the event, offering an extra incentive to buy them.
