On August 12th, Hell is Us will finally release its highly anticipated demo on consoles, including Xbox Series and PS5, allowing players to try out this peculiar action-adventure title before its full release. Developed by Rogue Factor and published by Nacon, the game offers a mix of open-world exploration and intense hand-to-hand combat, set in a mysterious and brutal world.

What grabs your attention from the very beginning is its uncompromising proposal: no map, no compass, no marked objectives on screen. Instead, the player must rely on their own instincts to progress through a semi-open environment filled with secrets and supernatural creatures.
Hell is Us: visceral combat and pure exploration
Set in a country ravaged by civil war, the game presents a scenario dominated by an inexplicable calamity. This has brought with it the appearance of chimeric monsters that cannot be eliminated with conventional weaponry. To survive, we’ll have to rely solely on an ancient sword and a special drone, key elements for both combat and navigation.
The game’s design is focused on rewarding curiosity and experimentation. The player doesn’t receive explicit instructions or on-screen markers: everything is based on observing the environment and making personal decisions. A formula that recalls titles like Death Stranding or Sifu, where the experience is built through discovery, not a predetermined roadmap.
The demo will be available for free on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S starting August 12th. It’s the perfect opportunity to dive into this oppressive world and see for yourself if Hell is Us delivers on its promise of offering something different in the current action game landscape.
