The last week of July promises to close with a bang on Xbox with one of the most anticipated titles by fans of intense action and ninja combat. It’s Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, the new chapter of the mythic franchise that debuts on Xbox consoles with a proposal that combines the best of Tecmo’s classic legacy with a more modern approach.
The game is developed by the acclaimed studio responsible for Blasphemous, and is launched as a completely new project under Koei’s supervision. The premise is simple but effective: brutal action, constant challenges, demonic enemies, and a legendary protagonist, Ryu Hayabusa, who returns stronger than ever.
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound arrives on Xbox with an unprecedented story and plenty of action
This time, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound breaks away from previous installments to offer a completely new chapter in the saga. The story takes us to the United States, where Ryu travels to fulfill his father’s last wish. However, during his absence, a rift opens between the human world and that of the demons, unleashing a deadly horde on the Hayabusa village.
With chaos unleashed and Ryu out of the scene, players will have to face a darker and more challenging scenario than ever, in an environment where stealth, precision, and reflexes make all the difference. The combat, according to the studio, maintains the characteristic seal of the saga, but adds new mechanics, smarter bosses, and a difficulty level that will reward the most skilled players.
Ragebound arrives on July 31, 2025, on Xbox Series, and will also be available on PS5 and PC. For now, its arrival on Xbox Game Pass has not been confirmed, and although a future incorporation is not ruled out, for now, we’ll have to wait and not get ahead of ourselves.
