In just a few days, one of the digital games inspired by a famous young adult horror franchise will disappear from digital stores. The withdrawal will take place on August 8th, and will affect all platforms where it was available, including Xbox. If you were thinking of trying it out or getting it, now is the time to act before it disappears completely.

The reason for this early withdrawal is due to the imminent release of a new installment, which has led the publisher to follow a strategy that has already been applied to other similar titles.
Goosebumps says goodbye to make way for a new installment
The game being withdrawn is Goosebumps: The Game, a digital proposal that has been available for years and will be removed to make way for Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek, a new installment that will arrive throughout August. We’ve seen this move before, when the company eliminated Big Buck Arcade just before launching its successor, so it’s no surprise that they’ve repeated the move.
Both titles are digital only, so once they’re removed, they won’t be able to be acquired again, unless they return in the future on a limited basis. For now, it hasn’t been confirmed if Terror in Little Creek will also come to Xbox Game Pass, but considering the publisher’s history, it’s not ruled out that we’ll see it in the subscription service at some point.
In any case, if you want to keep the current game in your library, you should get it before August 8th, after which it will be removed from the Xbox Store and other digital stores.
