Now that July’s selection has closed, we can take a first look at what’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in August 2025. Although the list is not yet complete, Microsoft has already confirmed the first three games that will be part of the catalog next month. There’s something for everyone: from farming simulation to brutal third-person action.
The dates are already set, and the content covers several platforms, including Xbox Series consoles, PC, and cloud. Below, we review the games that have already secured their arrival, with a new batch of announcements expected in the first few days of the month.
Games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in August 2025
- August 1 – Farming Simulator 25 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Originally released in November last year, this farming simulator returns for those who want to continue their rural adventure. It’s a direct evolution of Farming Simulator 22, which was also available on Game Pass. - August 12 – Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced (Cloud, Xbox Series, and PC)
This new edition includes a Performance mode, an alternative gameplay option called Dark Rot, and developer commentary. On Xbox Series S, the Performance mode will not be available. - August 26 – Gears of War: Reloaded (Cloud, Xbox Series, and PC)
A revamped version of the first Gears, with improved graphics, cross-play, cross-progression, and all post-launch content included from the start. One of the most anticipated releases for fans of the franchise.
Microsoft will announce more additions between Tuesday, August 5, and Thursday, August 7, following its usual schedule of updates for the service. We’ll be keeping an eye out to update the complete list as soon as the next games are published.
