Although Cyberpunk 2077 has already received its major expansion, Phantom Liberty, and a massive update with version 2.0, the game from CD Projekt RED continues to evolve. This week, the update 2.3 was released, adding vehicles, improvements to Photo Mode, and technical adjustments. However, more attentive players have discovered something even more interesting: it won’t be the last update, and everything points to more playable content coming.
According to the clues found after installing the patch, one of the most anticipated features that was discarded from the original game could finally be added: casinos in Night City. Everything indicates that CDPR and Virtuos Studios will continue to expand the Cyberpunk 2077 universe before completely closing its development.
The casino clue opens the door to new areas and features in Cyberpunk 2077
One of the most commented discoveries on social media has been the appearance of billboards announcing the North Oak Casino and Country Club, a place that was not present in previous versions of the game. Although it is still inaccessible, its visual presence and the fact that it is placed outside the playable map have sparked theories. It’s worth remembering that casinos were part of the original design of Cyberpunk 2077, but were removed before launch for reasons that were never clarified.
- Following this discovery, other users have delved into the game’s files after patch 2.3 and found direct mentions of a new space called Pacifica Casino, suggesting that it would be a new area still in development. This reinforces the idea that the game could receive another content update, beyond simple corrections. For now, CD Projekt RED remains silent, but Virtuos Studios’ work on this latest patch suggests that future expansions are underway, even with the main studio focused on The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2.
Although the company has not confirmed anything yet, players have noticed that Virtuos Studios was involved in the 2.3 update, and everything points to them also being in charge of the next ones. Meanwhile, the main CD Projekt RED team is already focused on developing The Witcher 4 and pre-producing Cyberpunk 2, which promises to continue expanding the universe created in 2020.
