A new leak suggests that the rumored remake of Halo: Combat Evolved will focus exclusively on the campaign, leaving out multiplayer entirely. The information comes from well-known insider Rebs Gaming, who claims that his sources have not heard of any multiplayer mode in development associated with this remake.

The comment comes in response to a post by user gruntAPI, who has also been closely following the internal movements of several projects related to Halo. Among them, one stands out in particular: Project Ekur, an internal Microsoft initiative identified as a possible multiplayer title (either battle royale or hero shooter), which, according to leaked data, has been receiving development updates every six hours for several days.

Leaks point to a solo campaign for the Halo CE remake

For now, there is no concrete news about the supposed online mode or a possible port of Halo Infinite to PS5, something that has also been ruled out by the sources consulted by Rebs Gaming. This insider has a good track record of previous successes and suggests that the Halo CE remake would be more of a commemorative project focused on the original single-player experience.

As for Project Ekur, the mystery remains. Its activity on internal servers has increased, indicating that Microsoft or Xbox Game Studios may be intensifying its development. Although initially speculated to be a battle royale, some now point to an extraction shooter or similar game. In any case, there is no official confirmation yet.
