Sloclap has announced its intention to intensify the fight against unsportsmanlike conduct in Rematch, the title that combines football and martial arts and continues to gain popularity on consoles and PC. The French studio is preparing a range of sanctions and tools to curb toxic behavior and cheating within the game.
In their latest development diary, the team claims to have detected a significant increase in serious offenses over the past few days. These include cheating, abusive language, deliberate provocation, and repeated actions that ruin the experience for other players. Therefore, the studio will activate new control measures to defend the integrity of their proposal.
Rematch will include automatic suspensions and reporting system
The company has confirmed that it will impose three-day suspensions on those who repeat disruptive behavior, such as intentional own goals or actions that harm their own team. If abusive language is used or severe toxicity is detected, the punishment can be as much as a week-long expulsion from multiplayer.
- But the toughest penalty will be for cheaters. Those who use external software or continuously break the rules will be permanently banned, with access blocked to the servers. Additionally, those who repeat destructive behavior will also face permanent expulsions.
- To reinforce this approach, Sloclap is working on an integrated reporting tool that will allow reporting of cheating, insults, and griefing from both within the game and on the official website. The goal, as they explain, is to ensure a cleaner, fairer, and more competitive environment for all.
Since its release, Rematch has positioned itself as one of the most unique proposals of the moment. Its blend of arcade football and hand-to-hand combat has attracted a growing community that will now be better protected. The new tools will arrive in the coming months.
