Borderlands 4 is shaping up to be one of the most epic releases this September, but it seems we’re only scratching the surface. Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, has fueled the community’s interest with a bold statement about the content still hidden from view.
Through his official social media account, Pitchford responded to fan questions, confirming that there’s still a lot to be revealed: “There are so many things we’re keeping under wraps between now and launch. Seriously, so many things,” he stated. This promise has sparked speculation about the game’s systems, mechanics, and secrets that have yet to be uncovered.
Gearbox Promises Many More Reveals Before Borderlands 4 Launch
Although we already know about features like the new AI-powered gun creation system and the return of the Vault Hunters on the planet Kairos, Gearbox insists that what we’ve seen so far is only a small part of the final content. The campaign, open world, co-op modes, and new characters are just a few aspects that still have many unanswered questions.
Borderlands 4 is set to arrive on September 12, 2025 for Xbox Series, PS5, and PC, with a Switch 2 version planned before the end of the year. Gearbox and 2K Games promise to continue revealing more information in the coming weeks, but warn that a large part of the experience is being reserved for the right moment.
If you’re a fan of the ultimate looter shooter, it seems that the best is yet to come.
