El modo FPS Boost es una de las últimas novedades que Microsoft ha incluido en Xbox Series, tanto en el modelo S como en el modelo X. Se trata de una opción para duplicar el framerate de algunos juegos retrocompatibles sin necesidad de parches. Y cuando hablamos de juegos retrocompatibles nos referimos a juegos de Xbox One, Xbox 360 y Xbox Original.

De esta manera el usuario no tiene que hacer nada más que poner el juego y jugar. La consola se encarga de hacerlo todo sin complejidades. Revisa desde aquí la lista de juegos retrocompatibles.

¿Cómo funciona el FPS Boost?

La CPU de Xbox Series X y S está altamente capacitada para manejar mayores tasas de FPS, y FPS Boost se encargará de ello. Como decía, no tendremos que hacer “casi” nada: Solamente acceder al gestor de almacenamiento de cada juego en donde aparecerá un nuevo botón llamado “Opciones de compatibilidad”.

Dentro, puedes seleccionar tanto el Auto HDR, como el FPS Boost. En la captura inferior podéis ver como al pulsar el botón Guía de nuestro mando para ver a la derecha como están encendidos esos modos. De este modo, si por cualquier motivo, deseas respetar el framerate original, también tienes la opción.
