Rematch’s early access was far from perfect, but since those days, the game has been growing in popularity. Proof of this is that on launch day, the title managed to reach one million players across all platforms where the game was released.
If we look at the numbers on Steam, the peak of users was 93,000 players, which is a lot but shows a significant drop from the last beta, where the maximum number of concurrent players was 160,000.
More to come
You can play Rematch on Xbox Series X/S and PC at no extra cost if you have an active Game Pass subscription. The title divides players into teams of 5 participants in matches without penalties or free kicks. The game’s reception has been very positive across all platforms, despite some complaints about the prices of certain cosmetic items, mainly because it’s not a free-to-play game.
In terms of content, the game currently has a very humble base, but Sloclap promises to add more material as the seasons progress. If you want to know my colleague Javier’s impressions of the game, you can check them out here.
