The development of Skate has taken longer than expected (our latest news about the game is from 2024), but the wait is finally coming to an end. From July 2, 2025, players will be able to access a new game test on Xbox, although they will need to register in advance and wait for the invitation.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that this new phase of testing will be activated in waves. Only those who register before June 27 will have the opportunity to access. The invitations will be sent gradually, so not all players will enter on the first day. Access will expand over the weeks.
The new Skate test will start on July 2 on Xbox: how to participate
To participate in this test, it is essential to register on the official project website Skate Insider. Simply click the “Register now” button and link your EA account. Those who receive the invitation will receive it by email, so it is a good idea to be on the lookout in the days leading up to the start.
This new Skate abandons the traditional numbering to focus on a live and evolving experience, like games as a service. Unlike previous releases, it will not be launched with a closed campaign, but will bet on a constantly growing multiplayer formula.

The test arrives just a week before the launch of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, scheduled for July 11, making the summer a key period for fans of virtual skateboarding. The official launch of Skate in early access format is expected later in 2025, with no definitive date yet, so we’ll have to wait while with this test.
