Gears of War: Reloaded Beta Expands: More Maps, Modes, and Gameplay Time, Everything You Need to Know

The second phase begins on June 20 and includes six classic maps and three multiplayer modes.

The Coalition has listened to the community and responds with a decisive update: the multiplayer beta of Gears of War: Reloaded expands content, duration, and variety. After a first weekend of testing, the studio has announced that the second phase will begin this Friday, June 20 with significant improvements.

Among the new features are more maps, more modes available, and a longer testing period, ideal for polishing details in preparation for the final game launch on August 26.

Second beta of Gears Reloaded: dates, times, and all content

This new session will take place from June 20 to 22, with the following schedule:

• Start: Friday, June 20 at 13:00 (CDMX time) / 20:00 (Spanish peninsular time)

• End: Sunday, June 22 at 22:00 (CDMX time) / Monday, June 23 at 05:00 (Spanish peninsular time)

• King of the Hill (competitive)

• Execution (competitive)

• Team Duel (social mode)

Maps included

• Gridlock

• Raven Down

• Courtyard

• War Machine

• Gold Rush

• Canals

The objective of this second beta is to test the multiplayer performance, collect feedback on balance, latency, and server behavior, as well as allow more players to join the experience.

Access to the beta and compatible platforms

The following can participate in this second beta:

• Players who have reserved Gears of War: Reloaded on any platform

• Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass

• Owners of the Ultimate Edition of the original Gears

The test is available on Xbox Series, Xbox One, PC (Steam and Microsoft Store) and PlayStation 5, with full support for cross-play.

A second opportunity to relive the classic with technical improvements and cross-play

Gears of War: Reloaded is a total remasterization of the first Gears, with a 4K campaign, multiplayer at 120 FPS, and new textures in Unreal Engine 5. This expanded beta demonstrates the commitment of The Coalition to the community and to the technical preparation of the title before its launch on August 26.
